...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1015 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast Kentucky, including the following 
  county, Pike.

* WHEN...Until 1015 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 
  Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is 
  imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 703 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
    have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will allow minor flooding
    to persist or worsen.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Fishtrap Lake, Marrowbone, Garden Village, Phyllis, Shelbiana
    and Kimper.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law 
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National 
Weather Service when you can do so safely.

* WHEN...Until 1015 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 
  Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is 
  occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 721 PM EDT, The public reported minor flooding along Rocky
    Road in Millard. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain has fallen
    after thunderstorms moved across across the advisory area.
  - Additional light rainfall is ongoing over the advisory area.
    This additional rain will allow minor flooding to persist or
    worsen.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Millard, Fishtrap Lake, Marrowbone, Garden Village, Phyllis,
    Shelbiana and Kimper.
