...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 430 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Ben Hill County in South Central Georgia.
* WHEN...Until 430 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 235 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. 1-2 inches of rain has already fallen and an
additional 2 to 3 inches of rain is expected over the next
two hours. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Fitzgerald, Ashton, Red Bluff and Bowens Mill.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
