The National Weather Service in Albany has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southeastern Washington County in east central New York...
  Northwestern Bennington County in southern Vermont...

* Until 600 PM EDT.

* At 249 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain 
  have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible 
  in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin 
  shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Salem, Manchester, Dorset, Manchester Center, Sandgate, Beartown, 
  East Rupert, West Rupert, West Sandgate, South Dorset, East 
  Dorset, Freedleyville, North Dorset, Eagleville, Greenwich 
  Junction, Rexleigh, Shushan, Fitch Point and East Greenwich.
