The National Weather Service in Bismarck has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Western Emmons County, Southeastern Morton County, and Eastern
Sioux County.
* Until 900 PM CDT /800 PM MDT/ Sunday.
* At 244 PM CDT /144 PM MDT/, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms
producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 5
inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2
inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing
or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

Fort Yates, Solen, Cannon Ball, Prairie Knights Resort, Beaver Bay
Recreation Area, Cattail Recreation Area, Fort Rice, Hazelton
Recreation Area, Stumpf State Natural Area, Huff and Standing Rock.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
