The National Weather Service in Pueblo has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Western Las Animas County in southeastern Colorado...

* Until 845 PM MDT.

* At 539 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain 
  have fallen in an area north of highway 12 west of Trinidad to 
  Segundo. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 3 inches in 1 hour. 
  Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Cokedale, Boncarbo and Segundo.

This includes the following streams and drainages...
  Cottonwood Canyon, Burro Canyon, Leitensdorfer Arroyo, Chicosa 
  Arroyo, Wolf Canyon, Mulligan Canyon, Colorado Canyon, Berwind 
  Arroyo, Wet Canyon, Chinamans Canyon, Reilly Canyon and Lorencito 
  Canyon.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

EVENING FOR WESTERN LAS ANIMAS COUNTY...

At 631 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicates thunderstorms have ended 
across the warned area, although run-off from earlier heavy rainfall 
will continue. Doppler radar estimates between 1 and 3 inches of 
rain have fallen.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
