The National Weather Service in the Twin Cities has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northwestern Pope County in west central Minnesota...
  Stevens County in west central Minnesota...

* Until 600 PM CDT.

* At 455 PM CDT, local law enforcement flooded roads near Chokio due 
  to thunderstorms producing heavy rain. Additional rainfall amounts 
  of 0.5 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding 
  is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Morris, Starbuck, Hancock, Chokio, Cyrus, Donnelly, Lake Hattie, 
  Fish Lake, Alberta, Farwell, Morris Airport and Lake Emily.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
