The National Weather Service in Tucson has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Southwestern Cochise County in southeastern Arizona...
* Until 515 PM MST.
* At 221 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across Fort Huachuca and Huachuca City. Between 1.25 and
1.75 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to
1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing
or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Huachuca City and Fort Huachuca.
This includes Route 90 between mile markers 312 and 318.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

AFTERNOON FOR SOUTHWESTERN COCHISE COUNTY...
At 312 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across Fort Huachuca and Huachuca City. Between 1.5 and 2 inches
of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.

The heavy rain has ended across Fort Huachuca and Huachuca City.
Flooding is no longer expected to pose a threat. Please continue to
