The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Eastern Ogle County in north central Illinois...

* Until 115 AM CDT.

* At 1016 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain 
  have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 2 to 4 inches in 1 
  hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in 
  the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin 
  shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Rapid-onset flooding of creeks, streams, drainage
           ditches, streets, underpasses, low-lying areas, and
           other poor drainage areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Rochelle, Davis Junction, Hillcrest, Lindenwood, Monroe Center, 
  Kings and Chana.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Warning means rapid-onset flooding is imminent or may 
already be occurring. Persons along creeks, drainage ditches, and 
other waterways should take immediate precautions to protect life 
and property.

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

MORNING FOR SOUTHEASTERN OGLE COUNTY...

At 1221 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms produced heavy 
rain across the warned area. Between 3 and 6 inches of rain have 
fallen. Flooding impacts will continue, but additional heavy 
rainfall may develop later this morning.

HAZARD...Flash flooding.

FOR SOUTHEASTERN OGLE COUNTY...

The heavy rain has ended. This Flash Flood Warning has been replaced 
by an Areal Flood Warning that is valid through 715 AM CDT, due to 
potential lingering impacts from the heavy rain. Please continue to 
heed remaining road closures.

A Flood Watch remains in effect until 700 PM CDT Saturday for 
portions of Illinois and northwest Indiana.
