The National Weather Service in Billings has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  West Central Yellowstone County in south central Montana...

* Until 200 AM MDT.

* At 939 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated slow moving thunderstorms 
  producing very heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 
  3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 
  0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is 
  ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Acton.

This includes portions of Highway 3 between Billings and Broadview

This includes the following streams and drainages...
  Hogans Slough, Alkali Creek, Five Mile Creek, Crooked Creek, 
  Canyon Creek, Twelve Mile Creek, Cove Creek and Sevenmile Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles. Do not drive on or attempt to cross 
flooded roads, find an alternate route. Roads and driveways may be 
damaged or washed out in places.

FOR WEST CENTRAL YELLOWSTONE COUNTY...

The heavy rain has ended. Flooding is no longer expected to pose a 
threat. Please continue to heed remaining road closures and be alert 
for road damage caused by flooding, especially on rural gravel 
roadways.
