The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  West Central Chattahoochee County in west central Georgia...
  South Central Harris County in west central Georgia...
  Muscogee County in west central Georgia...

* Until 545 AM EDT.

* At 1152 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across the
  warned area. Between 2.5 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen.
  Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible in
  the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
  shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
           highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
           drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Columbus, Bibb City, Fort Benning/Lawson Army Air Fld, Kenwood,
  Edgewood, Highland Park, Columbus Metropolitan Airport, Vista
  Terrace, Saint Marys Hills, Laurel Hills, Avondale, Rose Hill, Flat
  Rock, Benning Park, Benning Hills, Sand Hill, Green Island Hills,
  Carter Acres, Custer Road Terrace and Battle Park.
