The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Calloway County in western Kentucky...
  Lyon County in western Kentucky...
  Marshall County in western Kentucky...
  Trigg County in western Kentucky...

* Until 400 AM CDT Thursday.

* At 957 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated an area of slow moving 
  thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. The 
  heaviest rain has moved through Marshall County is currently 
  moving through Lyon and Calloway Counties.  It will move into 
  Trigg County over the next hour. The expected rainfall rate is 1 
  to 2 inches in 1 hour. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to 
  begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Murray, Benton, Calvert City, Cadiz, Eddyville, Land Between The 
  Lakes Area, Golden Pond Visitors Center, Turkey Bay, Energy Lake 
  Campground, Birmingham Ferry Recreation Area, Woodlands Nature 
  Station, Wranglers Campground, Hillman Ferry Campground, Cravens 
  Bay Campground, Demumbers Bay Campground, Canton, Rockcastle, 
  Kuttawa, Hardin and Hazel.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.

The heavy rain has ended. Flooding is no longer expected to pose a

A Flood Watch remains in effect until 700 AM CDT Sunday for portions 
of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western Kentucky, and 
southeast Missouri.
