* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northwestern Armstrong County in the panhandle of Texas...
  Southwestern Carson County in the panhandle of Texas...
  Southeastern Potter County in the panhandle of Texas...
  Northern Randall County in the panhandle of Texas...

* Until 130 AM CDT.

* At 1022 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 1 inch of rain has 
  fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 3 inches in 1 hour. 
  Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are possible in the 
  warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin 
  shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Amarillo, Mescalero Park and Washburn.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become 
unstable and unsafe.

NORTHWESTERN ARMSTRONG, SOUTHWESTERN CARSON, SOUTHEASTERN POTTER AND 
NORTHERN RANDALL COUNTIES...

At 1044 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.5 and 2 inches of rain 
have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches in 30 
minutes. Additional rainfall amounts up to 2.5 inches are possible 
in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin 
shortly.
