The National Weather Service in Huntsville has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  West Central Madison County in north central Alabama...

* Until 1000 PM CDT.

* At 701 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across North Huntsville, Northwest Huntsville, and
  between Madison and West Huntsville. Between 2 and 2.5 inches of
  rain have fallen in the last 30 minutes, and additional rainfall
  amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible through 8 or 9 PM. Flash
  flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
           highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
           drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Huntsville, Madison, Redstone Arsenal, University Of Alabama In
  Huntsville, Marshall Space Flight Center and Alabama A And M
  University.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
