The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northern Calloway County in western Kentucky...
  Southeastern Livingston County in western Kentucky...
  Lyon County in western Kentucky...
  Marshall County in western Kentucky...

* Until 445 AM CDT Friday.

* At 1043 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of 
  rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1.5 to 2.5 inches 
  are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or 
  expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Benton, Calvert City, Eddyville, Hillman Ferry Campground, 
  Birmingham Ferry Recreation Area, Demumbers Bay Campground, Land 
  Between The Lakes Area, Cravens Bay Campground, Woodlands Nature 
  Station, Reidland, Kuttawa, Hardin, Grand Rivers, Aurora, Brewers 
  and Kirksey.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 445 AM CDT EARLY THIS 
MORNING FOR NORTHERN CALLOWAY, SOUTHEASTERN LIVINGSTON, LYON AND 
MARSHALL COUNTIES...

At 1254 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated scattered showers and 
thunderstorms producing brief heavy rain across the warned area. 
Between 3 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall 
amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash 
flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
