The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Northeastern Washington County in southeastern Ohio...
West Central Tyler County in northern West Virginia...
* Until 830 PM EDT.
* At 536 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2 inches of rain
have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Matamoras, Friendly and New Matamoras.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING IS CANCELLED FOR NORTHEASTERN WASHINGTON AND
WEST CENTRAL TYLER COUNTIES...
Heavy rain has moved out of the warning area and flooding is no
longer expected to pose a threat.
A Flood Watch remains in effect until 1100 AM EDT Tuesday for
portions of northeast Kentucky, southeast Ohio, southwest Virginia,
and West Virginia.
