The National Weather Service in San Diego has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  San Bernardino County in southern California...

* Until 1100 AM PST.

* At 753 AM PST, Emergency management reported heavy rain in the 
  mountains is resulting in debris flow and flash flooding through 
  Sheep Creek into the High Desert. Flash flooding on roads crossing 
  Sheep Creek is already occurring.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain producing
           flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Emergency management reported.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Pinon Hills, El Mirage and Phelan.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Remain alert for flooding even in locations not receiving rain. 
Arroyos, streams, and rivers can become raging killer currents in a 
matter of minutes, even from distant rainfall.
