The National Weather Service in St Louis has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Fayette County in south central Illinois...

* Until 745 PM CDT.

* At 344 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain
  have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are
  possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
  to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
           highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
           drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Vandalia, St. Elmo, Brownstown, Farina, Shobonier, Wrights Corner,
  Avena, La Clede, Pittsburg, St. Peter, St. Paul, St. James,
  Loogootee and Hagerstown.

This includes the following State Parks...
Carlyle Lake State Fish and Wildlife Area.

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 70 in Illinois between exits 68 and 76. Interstate 57 in
Illinois near exit 135.
