The National Weather Service in Upton has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Fairfield County in southern Connecticut...
  Southwestern New Haven County in southern Connecticut...
  Putnam County in southeastern New York...
  Westchester County in southeastern New York...

* Until 945 PM EDT.

* At 647 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of
  rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches in 1
  hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in
  the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
  shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
           highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
           drainage and low-lying areas.

  Bridgeport, Stamford, Norwalk, Danbury, Milford, Shelton,
  Peekskill, Southbury, New Canaan, Mount Kisco, Mahopac, Lake

EVENING FOR FAIRFIELD, SOUTHWESTERN NEW HAVEN, PUTNAM AND WESTCHESTER
COUNTIES...

At 847 PM EDT, Thunderstorms produced heavy rain across the warned
area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen over the last 2
hours. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1/2 inch are possible in the
warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing, but should gradually subside
over the next hour.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
