The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northeastern Livingston County in central Illinois...
  East Central La Salle County in north central Illinois...
  Southern Grundy County in northeastern Illinois...

* Until 345 AM CDT.

* At 1147 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated slow moving thunderstorms
  with rain rates of 2 to 3 inches per hour. Up to 2.5 inches has
  occurred so far just north of Streator. Flash flooding is ongoing
  or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Rapid-onset flooding of creeks, streams, drainage ditches,
           streets, underpasses, low-lying areas, and other poor
           drainage areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Streator, Marseilles, Dwight, Seneca, Gardner, Mazon, South
  Streator, Braceville, Grand Ridge, South Wilmington, Ransom,
  Kangley, Verona, Campus, Reddick, East Brooklyn and Kinsman.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Warning means rapid-onset flooding is imminent or may
already be occurring. Persons along creeks, drainage ditches, and
other waterways should take immediate precautions to protect life and
property.
