* Flash Flood Warning for...
Northern La Salle County in north central Illinois...
* Until 400 AM CDT.
* At 1201 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
slow moving thunderstorms with rain rates of 1 to 2 inches per
hour. Up to 2.5 inches of rain have fallen so far near Earlville.
Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.
IMPACT...Rapid-onset flooding of creeks, streams, drainage ditches,
streets, underpasses, low-lying areas, and other poor
drainage areas.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Ottawa, Mendota, Marseilles, Sheridan, Seneca, Earlville, Serena,
Naplate, Dayton, Harding, Wedron, Prairie Center, Norway and
Triumph.

A Flash Flood Warning means rapid-onset flooding is imminent or may
already be occurring. Persons along creeks, drainage ditches, and

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM CDT EARLY THIS
MORNING FOR NORTHEASTERN LA SALLE COUNTY...
At 1249 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
that heavy rainfall had moved out of the area. Up to 3 inches of
rainfall occurred due to earlier thunderstorms near Earlville and
Ottawa. Some streams will likely continue to rise over the next few
hours, and standing water may be slow to recede in some areas.
