The National Weather Service in Austin/San Antonio has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  West Central Bexar County in south central Texas...
  East Central Medina County in south central Texas...

* Until 600 AM CDT.

* At 204 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain 
  have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are 
  possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected 
  to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  San Antonio, Castroville, Stinson Municipal Airport, San Antonio 
  Int Airport, Leon Valley, Helotes, Alamo Heights, Terrell Hills, 
  Shavano Park, Hollywood Park, Olmos Park, Lacoste, Sea World, 
  Lackland AFB, Government Canyon State Natural Area, Cliff, Rio 
  Medina, Bader, Castle Hills and Balcones Heights.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

MORNING FOR WEST CENTRAL BEXAR AND EAST CENTRAL MEDINA COUNTIES...

At 340 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy 
rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 5 inches of rain have 
fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
         flash flooding.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
         urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  San Antonio, Castroville, Stinson Municipal Airport, San Antonio 
  Int Airport, Leon Valley, Helotes, Alamo Heights, Terrell Hills, 
  Shavano Park, Hollywood Park, Olmos Park, Lacoste, Sea World, 
  Lackland AFB, Government Canyon State Natural Area, Cliff, Rio 
  Medina, Bader, Castle Hills and Balcones Heights.

Light to moderate rains continue to fall over the warned area, with 
an additional 1/4 to 1/2 inch possible through 6 AM. This additional 
rain could maintain elevated flows on area creeks and streams and 
also further add to the flooding of poor drainage areas.
