Southern Los Angeles County in southwestern California...
* Until noon PST.
* At 953 AM PST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across the
warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly. Rock slides and mud slides are expected.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain. Rock slides and
mud slides.
SOURCE...Radar.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Long Beach, Downtown Los Angeles, Inglewood, Alhambra, Torrance,
Culver City, Hollywood, Griffith Park, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan
Beach, Whittier, Redondo Beach, Beverly Hills, Pasadena, Venice,
Rancho Palos Verdes, Santa Monica and West Covina.
