The National Weather Service in Los Angeles/Oxnard has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Northeastern Los Angeles County in southwestern California...
* Until 600 PM PST.
* At 1206 PM PST, Doppler radar indicated moderate rain across the
warned area. Flash flooding has developed. Heavy rain over the
mountains caused downstream flash flooding through creeks and
streams across the Antelope Valley.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain. Rock slides and
mud slides.
SOURCE...Trained spotters reported.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Rock slides
and mud slides.

Lake Los Angeles, Palmdale, Lancaster, Quartz Hill, Pearblossom,
Llano, Littlerock, Lake Palmdale, Valyermo, Desert View Highlands,
Saddleback Butte State Park, Highway 138 between Llano and the San
Bernardino County line and Highway 138 between Quail Lake and
Lancaster.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Avoid flooded roads. Be aware of rock slides, mudslides, and
possibly debris flows.
