The National Weather Service in St Louis has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Washington County in east central Missouri...

* Until 915 AM CDT.

* At 610 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain
  is expected. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
  shortly. Areas along Mineral Fork will see rapid rises in the creek
  levels.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
           highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
           drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Potosi, Anthonies Mill, Mineral Point, Old Mines, Richwoods, Latty,
  Shirley and Cadet.

This includes the following State Parks...
Washington State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

MORNING FOR WASHINGTON COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL MISSOURI...

At 649 AM CDT, most of the heavy rain had ended across Washington
County. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.
