The National Weather Service in Little Rock has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Southwestern Polk County in western Arkansas...
* Until 1130 PM CDT.
* At 829 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 5 inches of rain
have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Wickes, Grannis, Vandervoort, Mccauley, Hatton and Bogg Springs.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

EVENING FOR SOUTHWESTERN POLK COUNTY...
At 1023 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 5 inches of rain have
fallen. While the heaviest rainfall has ended...any flooding impacts
will continue as it will take some time for the water to run off.
Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
