* Until 800 AM CDT.
* At 229 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Branson, Cassville, Kimberling City, Forsyth, Pineville,
Hollister, Silver Dollar City, Anderson, Noel, Seligman, Rockaway
Beach, Exeter, Indian Point, Branson West, Washburn, Lanagan,
Shell Knob, Golden, Table Rock, Emerald Beach, Kirbyville, Eagle
Rock, Blue Eye, Chain-O-Lakes, Arrow Point, Coney Island, Wayne,
Lampe, Powell, Ridgedale, Edgewater Beach, Ozark Beach, Powersite,
Table Rock Lake, Lake Taneycomo, Bull Shoals Lake, Roaring River
State Park, Table Rock State Park, Shepherd of the Hills State
Park and Big Sugar Creek State Park.
This includes the following low water crossings...
Mikes Creek at Highway U, Bentonville Hollow at Highway E, Butler
Creek at Kings Highway, Trigger Creek at Highway J, Big Sugar
Creek at Buzzard Glory Road, Roark Creek at Expressway Lane and
Little Sugar Creek at Skaggs Hollow Road.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
