The National Weather Service in Springfield has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southeastern Barry County in southwestern Missouri...

* Until 800 AM CDT.

* At 354 AM CDT, Local law enforcement reported thunderstorms 
  producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 
  inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 
  inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing 
  or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Park management indicated that 2 camp grounds have
           been evacuated and the gauge on the river in the park
           rose 4 feet in less than 2 hours.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Cassville, Seligman, Golden, Emerald Beach, Eagle Rock, 
  Chain-O-Lakes, Table Rock Lake and Roaring River State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are 
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded 
roads. Find an alternate route.
