The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southeastern Bucks County in southeastern Pennsylvania...
  Southeastern Montgomery County in southeastern Pennsylvania...

* Until 615 PM EDT.

* At 217 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain beginning to 
  move into the warned area. The expected rainfall rate is 0.5 to 1 
  inch in 30 minutes. Rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are possible 
  in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin 
  shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
           highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other
           drainage and low lying areas.

* Some locations that may experience flash flooding include...
  Philadelphia, Lansdale, East Norriton, Doylestown, Hatboro, 
  Ambler, Chalfont, New Hope, Yardley, Newtown, Abington and 
  Langhorne.

This includes the following highways...
Northeast Extension between mile markers 21 and 28.
Pennsylvania Turnpike between mile markers 333 and 349.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around...dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most 
flood deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are 
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded 
roads. Find an alternate route.

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 615 PM EDT THIS 
EVENING FOR SOUTHEASTERN BUCKS AND SOUTHEASTERN MONTGOMERY 
COUNTIES...

At 413 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated 
rain amounts of 1 to 2 inches have fallen within portions of the 
warned area leading to reports of flash flooding. Additional 
rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area as 
more heavy rainfall moves through late this afternoon. Flash 
flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
