...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM SATURDAY TO 4 AM CDT
SUNDAY FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR SOUTH CENTRAL AND
CENTRAL NEBRASKA AND NORTH CENTRAL KANSAS...

The National Weather Service in Hastings has issued a Red Flag
Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect
from 11 AM Saturday to 4 AM CDT Sunday. The Fire Weather Watch is
no longer in effect.

* WINDS...On Saturday into Saturday evening, out of the south to
  southwest...sustained 10 to 20 MPH and gusting 20 to 30 MPH.
After midnight Saturday night into early Sunday morning,
abruptly turning northerly behind a strong cold front...with
gusts to at least 30 to 40 MPH.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 5 to 15 percent on Saturday
afternoon, then increasing to 30 to 40 percent late Saturday
  night into early Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...Any fire that develops will spread quickly. Outdoor
  burning is not recommended.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Although winds Saturday into Saturday
evening will not be overly-strong, record-breaking heat and very
low relative humidity will still promote dangerous fire weather
conditions. Any fires that might start on Saturday would then be
subject to by a sharp/abrupt shift to strong northerly winds
early Sunday morning behind a cold front.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.

...RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM CDT SUNDAY FOR
WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR SOUTH CENTRAL AND CENTRAL
NEBRASKA AND NORTH CENTRAL KANSAS...

* WINDS...This evening, out of the south-southwest, sustained
mainly 10 to 15 MPH and gusting up to 20 to 25 MPH. Then after
midnight tonight into early Sunday morning, abruptly turning
northerly behind a strong cold front and gusting at least 40 to
  50 MPH.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 10 to 20 percent this evening, but
increasing to 30 to 60 percent by the time this Warning expires
  early Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...Any fire that develops will spread quickly. Outdoor
