The National Weather Service in Hastings has issued a Red Flag Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from 11 AM Saturday to 4 AM CDT Sunday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect. * WINDS...On Saturday into Saturday evening, out of the south to southwest...sustained 10 to 20 MPH and gusting 20 to 30 MPH. After midnight Saturday night into early Sunday morning, abruptly turning northerly behind a strong cold front...with gusts to at least 30 to 40 MPH. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 5 to 15 percent on Saturday afternoon, then increasing to 30 to 40 percent late Saturday night into early Sunday morning. * IMPACTS...Any fire that develops will spread quickly.
