WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR MOST OF WEST CENTRAL TEXAS...
The National Weather Service in San Angelo has issued a Red Flag
Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect
until 5 PM CST this afternoon.
* AFFECTED AREA...Fisher, Nolan, Sterling, Coke, Runnels, Irion,
Tom Green, Concho, Crockett, Schleicher, Sutton, Haskell,
Throckmorton, Jones, Shackelford, Taylor, Callahan, Coleman,
Brown, McCulloch and San Saba.
* TIMING...Until 5 PM CST this afternoon.
* WINDS...South 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 15 percent.
* IMPACTS...Any fire that develops will catch and spread
quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now or will occur shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low humidity and dry fuels will contribute to
extreme fire behavior.
