The National Weather Service in Medford has issued a Red Flag
Warning, which is in effect from 2 PM to 8 PM PDT Thursday. 

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.

* AFFECTED AREA...In Oregon, Fire Weather zones 620 and 622,
  including the East Evans Creek fire, as well as Medford, Grants
  Pass, Ashland, Cave Junction, and Shady Cove. In
  California...Fire weather zones 280. This includes Happy Camp,
  Etna, and Fort Jones.

* WIND...Northwest to west 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. 

* HUMIDITY...Minimum humidity 8 to 15 percent.

* ADDITIONAL INFORMATION...Increasingly unstable conditions 
  could further increase fire activity.
