* Until 1115 PM CDT.

* At 1015 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from near Kanopolis to near Great Bend, moving northeast
  at 25 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage 
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

  Frederick, Pawnee Rock, Ellsworth Airport, Great Bend Airport,

At 1042 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 5 miles east of Kanopolis to near Great Bend, moving
northeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail 
         damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind 
         damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR NORTHWESTERN RICE...ELLSWORTH
AND SOUTHEASTERN BARTON COUNTIES WILL EXPIRE AT 1115 PM CDT...

The storms which prompted the warning have weakened below severe
limits, and no longer pose an immediate threat to life or property.
Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire.  However, small
hail and gusty winds are still possible with these thunderstorms.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 300 AM CDT for
central Kansas.

Remember, a Severe Thunderstorm Warning still remains in effect for
much of Barton County.
