* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
Central Berkshire County in western Massachusetts...
Northeastern Columbia County in east central New York...
* Until 430 PM EDT.
* At 340 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Hancock to near New Lebanon to near Valatie,
moving east at 30 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
* Locations impacted include...
Pittsfield, Chatham, Lee, Lenox, Cheshire, New Lebanon, Becket,
Austerlitz, Kinderhook, Savoy, Berkshire, Dalton, Lanesborough,
Hinsdale, Stockbridge, Canaan, Richmond, West Stockbridge, Windsor,
and Peru.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 500 PM EDT for western
Massachusetts.

At 405 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near East Windsor to near Lee to Austerlitz, moving
east at 30 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

Locations impacted include...
Pittsfield, Chatham, Lee, Lenox, Becket, Austerlitz, Dalton,

...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR CENTRAL BERKSHIRE AND
NORTHEASTERN COLUMBIA COUNTIES WILL EXPIRE AT 430 PM EDT...
The storms which prompted the warning have weakened below severe
limits, and no longer pose an immediate threat to life or property.
Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire. However, gusty
winds and heavy rain are still possible with these thunderstorms.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 500 PM EDT for western
Massachusetts.
