  Central Salt Lake County in northern Utah...

* Until 300 PM MDT.

* At 231 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over West Valley
  City, moving east at 20 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage 
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Salt Lake City, West Valley City, Murray, West Jordan,
  Taylorsville, Cottonwood Heights, Midvale, Holladay, South Salt
  Lake, Emigration Canyon, Millcreek, Kearns, Mount Olympus, Magna,
  Oquirrh, Mill Creek Canyon, East Millcreek, Cottonwood West, Big
  Cottonwood Canyon, and Canyon Rim.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 15 between mile markers 298 and 310.
 Interstate 80 in Utah between mile markers 114 and 134.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Large hail and damaging winds and continuous cloud to ground
lightning is occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately.

Lake, or near Murray, moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
