Damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning are
occurring with these storms. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is
one of natures leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder,
you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
minor urban and poor drainage flooding. Do not drive your vehicle
through flooded roadways.

(MANHATTAN) AND SOUTHWESTERN NASSAU COUNTIES...
At 324 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Bloomfield to Florham Park to near Far Hills,
moving southeast at 35 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile
homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
