* Until 630 AM CDT.
* At 559 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Gueydan,
moving east at 45 mph.
HAZARD...Quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Damage to vehicles is expected.

Wright, Lyons Point, Indian Bayou, Gueydan, Ridge, and Maurice.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning
are occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is
one of natures leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder,
you are close enough to be struck by lightning.

CENTRAL ACADIA AND NORTHWESTERN VERMILION PARISHES WILL EXPIRE AT 630

The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property.
Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire. However small hail
is still possible with this thunderstorm.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 AM CDT for
south central and southwestern Louisiana.
