* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Northern Alexander County in the Piedmont of North Carolina...
  Central Caldwell County in western North Carolina...

* Until 545 PM EDT.

* At 516 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Lenoir,
  moving east at 40 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind 
           damage to trees and power lines.

* Locations impacted include...
  Cedar Rock, Vashti, Collettsville, Patterson, Kings Creek, and
  Lenoir.

...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR NORTHERN ALEXANDER AND CENTRAL
CALDWELL COUNTIES WILL EXPIRE AT 545 PM EDT...

The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property.
Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire.  However, gusty
winds are still possible with this thunderstorm.
