* Until 415 PM CDT.
* At 346 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Palmyra, or
12 miles northwest of Carlinville, moving northeast at 60 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind
damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
* Locations impacted include...
Virden, Girard, Palmyra, Modesto and Hettick.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large
hail.
