  Northern Jackson County in southern Illinois...

* Until 515 PM CDT.

* At 424 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Ava, or 13
  miles west of Murphysboro, moving east at 35 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage 
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Du Quoin, Dowell, Elkville, Campbell Hill, St. Johns, De Soto, Ava,
  Vergennes, Hurst, and Murphysboro.
