Northeastern Santa Cruz County in southeastern Arizona...
* Until 545 PM MST.
* At 459 PM MST, a severe thunderstorm was located near Huachuca
City, moving west at 5 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and small hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
* Locations impacted include...
Sierra Vista, Whetstone, Huachuca City, Elgin, Fort Huachuca and
Kartchner Caverns State Park.
This includes the following highways...
Route 90 between mile markers 299 and 323. Route 82 between mile
markers 41 and 58.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds.
Wind damage with this storm will occur before any rain or lightning.
Do not wait for the sound of thunder before taking cover. Seek
shelter immediately inside a sturdy structure and stay away from
windows.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

The Severe Thunderstorm Warning that was previously in effect has
been reissued for Pima, Santa Cruz, and Cochise Counties and is in
effect until 645 PM MST. Please refer to that bulletin for the latest
severe weather information. However, gusty winds and heavy rain are
still possible with this thunderstorm.
To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will send your report to the National Weather Service
office.
