The National Weather Service in Tucson has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Northeastern Cochise County in southeastern Arizona...

* Until 600 PM MST.

* At 507 PM MST, a large cluster of severe thunderstorms were located
  9 miles northwest of Chiricahua National Monument, moving south at
  10 mph. Additional severe thunderstorms were developing along the
  southern Chiricahua mountain range.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
           roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Portal, Chiricahua National Monument, Sunizona, Rucker Canyon and
  Paradise.

This includes the following highways...
Route 80 between mile markers 401 and 415. Route 181 between mile
markers 41 and 64. Route 191 between mile markers 31 and 34. Route
186 between mile markers 353 and 359.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large
hail.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

EAST CENTRAL COCHISE COUNTY...

At 532 PM MST, a severe thunderstorm was located 9 miles southwest of
Chiricahua National Monument, moving southwest at 15 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and small hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
  Sunizona and Rucker Canyon.

This includes the following highways...
Route 80 between mile markers 402 and 406. Route 181 between mile
markers 41 and 61. Route 191 between mile markers 31 and 34. Route
186 between mile markers 354 and 359.

CENTRAL COCHISE COUNTY...

The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and has exited the warned area. Therefore, the warning will
be allowed to expire. However, gusty winds and heavy rain are still
possible with this thunderstorm.
