* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Northeastern Barnwell County in central South Carolina...
  Northwestern Bamberg County in central South Carolina...
  East central Aiken County in central South Carolina...
  West central Orangeburg County in central South Carolina...

* Until 200 PM EDT.

* At 117 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Barnwell
  State Park, or near Denmark, moving north at 15 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and prolific cloud to ground lightning 
           strikes.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and powerlines.

* Locations impacted include...
  Barnwell, Denmark, Williston, Blackville, Barnwell State Park,
  Springfield, Hilda, Neeses, Norway, Olar, Elko, Govan, and Barnwell
  County Airport.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of natures leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.

NORTHWESTERN BAMBERG...EAST CENTRAL AIKEN AND WEST CENTRAL ORANGEBURG
COUNTIES WILL EXPIRE AT 200 PM EDT...

The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property.
Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire.  However, gusty
winds are still possible with this thunderstorm.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
Columbia.
