* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Clark County in south central Indiana...
  Northern Floyd County in south central Indiana...
  Oldham County in central Kentucky...
  Southwestern Trimble County in central Kentucky...
  West central Henry County in central Kentucky...
  Northeastern Jefferson County in central Kentucky...

* Until 1045 PM EDT.

* At 1005 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from 12 miles southwest of Madison to 6 miles west of New
  Albany, moving east at 30 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Louisville, Jeffersonville, New Albany, Jeffersontown, St.
  Matthews, Lyndon, La Grange, Middletown, Douglass Hills, and
  Prospect.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until midnight EDT for south
central Indiana. A Tornado Watch also remains in effect until 200 AM
EDT for central Kentucky.

...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR CLARK...NORTHERN FLOYD...
OLDHAM...SOUTHWESTERN TRIMBLE...WEST CENTRAL HENRY AND NORTHEASTERN
JEFFERSON COUNTIES WILL EXPIRE AT 1045 PM EDT...

The storms which prompted the warning have weakened below severe
limits, and no longer pose an immediate threat to life or property.
Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire.  However, heavy
rain is still possible with these thunderstorms.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until midnight EDT for south
central Indiana. A Tornado Watch also remains in effect until 200 AM
EDT for central Kentucky.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
Louisville.
