The National Weather Service in the Twin Cities has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Northern Chisago County in east central Minnesota...
  Northwestern Polk County in northwestern Wisconsin...

* Until 530 PM CDT.

* At 437 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles south of
  Grasston, or 11 miles north of Cambridge, moving southeast at 35
  mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
           roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Rush City, Rush City Airport, Harris, Chengwatana State Forest,
  Wild River State Park, Wolf Creek, Cushing, Taylors Falls and St.
  Croix Falls.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large
hail.

Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Seek shelter
immediately in an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built
structure.

At 514 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 12 miles north of
Center City, or 23 miles east of Cambridge, moving southeast at 35
mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

         roofs, siding, and trees.

The Severe Thunderstorm Warning that was previously in effect has
been reissued for Polk and Chisago Counties and is in effect until

weather information.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM CDT for
