The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  West Central San Miguel County in northeastern New Mexico...

* Until 230 PM MDT.

* At 207 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles southwest
  of El Porvenir, or 14 miles west of Las Vegas. This storm was
  stationary.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
           roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Mineral Hill and San Geronimo.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large
hail.

Accumulations of small hail on roads can create very slick and
hazardous driving conditions.

WEST CENTRAL SAN MIGUEL COUNTY...

At 215 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles southwest of
El Porvenir, or 14 miles west of Las Vegas. This storm was
stationary.

...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING HAS EXPIRED FOR WEST CENTRAL SAN
MIGUEL COUNTY...

The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property.
Therefore, the warning has been allowed to expire. However, heavy
rain and flash flooding over the southern portion of the Hermits Peak
and Calf Canyon burn scar is still a threat with this thunderstorm.
