* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Northwestern Edgefield County in central South Carolina...
  McCormick County in central South Carolina...

* Until 615 PM EST.

* At 527 PM EST, a severe thunderstorm was located near Troy, or 13
  miles south of Abbeville, moving east at 35 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage 
           to trees and powerlines.

* Locations impacted include...
  McCormick, Mccormick County Airport, Parksville, Plum Branch,
  Willington, Bordeaux, Cleora, Mount Carmel, Baker Creek State Park,
  Pleasant Lane, Whitetown, and Long Cane Creek Picnic Area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Severe thunderstorms can produce large capsizing waves and frequent
lightning. If on or near Lake Strom Thurmond move away from the water
and take shelter!

miles south of Abbeville, moving east at 30 mph.
