The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Northeastern Quay County in east central New Mexico...
  Southeastern Harding County in northeastern New Mexico...

* Until 800 PM MDT.

* At 711 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 6 miles southeast 
  of Logan, or 21 miles northeast of Tucumcari, moving northeast at 
  20 mph.

  HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect
           hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles.
           Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Logan and Ute Lake State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from 
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large 
hail.

Accumulations of small hail on roads can create very slick and 
hazardous driving conditions.
