The National Weather Service in Goodland has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Northeastern Yuma County in northeastern Colorado...
  Western Dundy County in southwestern Nebraska...

* Until 400 PM MDT.

* At 254 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles north of
  Wray, moving east at 30 mph.

  HAZARD...Tennis ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail 
           damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect 
           wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
  northeastern Yuma and western Dundy Counties, including the
  following locations... Laird, Alvin, and Wauneta.

This includes Highway 385 between mile markers 242 and 262.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning
are occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is
one of natures leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder,
you are close enough to be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM MDT for northeastern
Colorado...northwestern Kansas...and southwestern Nebraska.

FOR EAST CENTRAL YUMA AND WESTERN DUNDY COUNTIES...

At 315 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles northeast of
Wray, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Golf ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Spotter report of 1.25 inch hail north of Wray and 58 MPH 
         winds recorded at Wray airport.

IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail 
         damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind 
         damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Haigler and Laird.

At 342 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Haigler, or 12
miles east of Wray, moving southeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Golf ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail 
         damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind 
         damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Haigler and Laird.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM MDT for northeastern
Colorado...northwestern Kansas...and southwestern Nebraska.

A tornado watch remains in effect for the warned area. Tornadoes can
develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Although a tornado is not
immediately likely, if one is spotted act quickly and move to a place
of safety inside a sturdy structure, such as a basement or small
interior room.

This storm is producing large hail. SEEK SHELTER NOW inside a sturdy
structure and stay away from windows.

This thunderstorm will produce strong winds resulting in areas of
near zero visibility in blowing dirt. Use extreme caution if you must
travel and be alert for rapidly changing visibility.
