* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
Southeastern Washington County in northeastern Colorado...
* Until 715 PM MDT.
* At 626 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 9 miles east of
Elba, or 16 miles southeast of Akron, moving south at 45 mph.
THIS IS A DESTRUCTIVE STORM FOR SOUTHERN WASHINGTON COUNTY.
HAZARD...80 mph wind gusts and two inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be heavily damaged. Expect
considerable damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles.
Extensive tree damage and power outages are likely.

Arickaree School, Anton, Elba, Thurman and Cope.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Seek shelter now inside an interior room on the lowest floor of a
well-built structure. This storm is capable of producing widespread
destructive winds and dangerous hail.
Wind damage with this storm will occur before any rain or lightning.
Do not wait for the sound of thunder before taking cover. Seek
shelter immediately inside a sturdy structure and stay away from
windows.

Arickaree School, or 24 miles southeast of Akron, moving south at 35
mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and small hail.

IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile
homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
