The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Southeastern Mora County in northeastern New Mexico...
  North Central San Miguel County in northeastern New Mexico...

* Until 500 PM MDT.

* At 409 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Valmora, or
  16 miles southwest of Wagon Mound, moving east at 25 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
           roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Valmora, Watrous and Shoemaker.

This includes Interstate 25 between Mile Markers 362 and 365...and
between Mile Markers 366 and 383.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large
hail.

...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM MDT FOR
SOUTHEASTERN MORA AND NORTH CENTRAL SAN MIGUEL COUNTIES...

At 430 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Valmora, or 20
miles southwest of Wagon Mound, moving east at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Golf ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
         damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind
         damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
  Valmora, Watrous and Shoemaker.

This includes Interstate 25 between Mile Markers 362 and 365...and
between Mile Markers 366 and 378.

...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING IS CANCELLED FOR SOUTHEASTERN MORA AND
NORTH CENTRAL SAN MIGUEL COUNTIES...

The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property.
Therefore, the warning has been cancelled. However, small hail and
gusty winds are still possible with this thunderstorm.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will send your report to the National Weather Service
office.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM MDT
Wednesday for a portion of northeast New Mexico.
